2. Description of the Service
HOP IN is a digital service for hobbies and leisure time offered through a mobile application. Users include hobbyists, cities and municipalities, sports clubs, organizations, associations, and companies. The service is intended for all operators who want to showcase their expertise on a digital platform. The mobile application contains all the necessary services that operators and hobbyists need. The service operates 24/7 and is available in Finnish and English.
Anyone can browse and view hobbies and events in the area through HOP IN. To register for activities, a Hobby Account is created in the service. Through the account, you manage your own and dependents’ registrations easily. With a Hobby Account, you keep in touch with the activity by managing information, registrations, payments, and communication with the operator. The information is always up-to-date and reliable.
HOP IN is a regional collector of hobbies and events where hobbyists can find leisure activities and new experiences. Financial transactions between hobbyists and operators are handled through mobile payments. Operators publish hobbies and events on the platform, where hobbyists can register. It is possible to manage both single registrations and fixed-term commitments. Using HOP IN, the service provider can manage existing groups and events, seasonal and activity fees, and memberships.
3. Purpose of the Agreement
The purpose of the agreement is to define the precise content of the service provided by the Service Provider and the related terms, as well as the general terms of the online store binding both the Service Provider and the Customer. This agreement defines the responsibilities of both parties and the terms related to usage and subscription. The Service Provider and the Customer undertake to fulfill their obligations and comply with these terms of use.
4. Use of the Service
Hobby and Operator accounts are used via a mobile application on a phone.
Using the service requires that the hobbyist and operator agree to follow these Terms of Use and use the service accordingly. Users commit to not sending, transmitting, or storing in the service or through it any copyrighted, trademark-protected, or other intellectual property-protected material unless they have permission from the respective rights holder.
Users may only use the service for personal use for themselves or those under their care via their Hobby Account. All rights to the service and its content (including all intellectual property rights) belong to the Service Provider or other content producers. The Service Provider reserves all rights to the content published in the service and data generated there unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Publishing or distributing content from the service for purposes other than those permitted by these Terms of Use is prohibited. Users and operators do not have the right to resell or transfer content published in the service to third parties unless expressly agreed in writing. When registering and using the service, users and operators agree to provide the Service Provider with correct and appropriate personal information for their Hobby and Operator accounts. The Service Provider reserves the right to verify the personal data of these accounts periodically to correct inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
If the Service Provider has reason to suspect that a Hobby or Operator account has violated these Terms of Use or applicable legislation or has registered or uses the service improperly with false personal data or otherwise abuses the service, the Service Provider has the right to restrict account usage or revoke access, delete the account, or take other necessary actions.
The Service Provider reserves the unilateral right to remove material from the service that violates these Terms of Use, good practice, is illegal, or otherwise inappropriate at its discretion. The personal, address, and billing information provided by the Customer must be accurate and up-to-date. The Customer is obliged to immediately inform the Seller of any changes affecting billing.
5. Area of Use
The service is available throughout Finland.
6. Insurance and Licenses
HOP IN Oy is not responsible for damages caused or suffered by users or hobby providers. HOP IN also does not comment on licensing. Users and Operators are responsible for any necessary hobby licenses themselves. Users undertake to insure themselves against accidents and use the application’s services at their own risk. HOP IN does not take responsibility for the liability or insurance of hobby providers. Each hobby and event provider is responsible for their own insurance and informs of its terms.
7. Order Processing
Orders are processed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
8. Cancellation, Withdrawal, and Complaints
Registration through the HOP IN app is always binding, and payment is therefore non-refundable. If a user wishes to cancel their registration, they must contact the hobby provider directly to receive a refund. Cancellation and refund conditions are subject to the terms of each hobby provider.
If the hobby provider cancels an event the user has registered for, the HOP IN system does not automatically refund the paid registration. The user must contact the hobby provider directly to request a refund.
Operators should note that HOP IN does not refund any transaction or service fees charged during registration, even if the event is cancelled. For software-related issues, complaints can be made to HOP IN customer service/support, open weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00. In other cases, users must contact hobby and event providers directly.
9. Payment Service Terms
The payment service provider is Stripe, operating in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. HOP IN Oy appears as the recipient of the payment on account statements or card invoices, and Stripe transfers the payment to the merchant. Stripe holds a payment institution license. 11. Duration of the Agreement
The contract and customer relationship come into effect when the Customer creates a Hobby or Operator account. The agreement and customer relationship remain valid until the hobby or operator account is deleted.
The right to use the service is valid indefinitely. The Company has the right to terminate the service with three (3) months’ notice. You have the right to stop using the service and delete your HOP IN Hobby or Operator account at any time. This does not delete your membership accounts in sports clubs. For membership-related matters, contact the operator and the membership register officer.
The Company reserves the right to terminate the agreement and close your account immediately and without notice if you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, placed unusual load on the Service, or caused harm to the Company, the Service, or other users. The Company has the right to block your access to the Service if it has reason to believe you have engaged in illegal activities or compromised the security or privacy of other users or if the Company has received a notification that your device, username, or password has been compromised.
Without limiting the Company’s right to change the Service or terminate its use, the Company will keep your account for 24 months from your last visit to the Service, after which the Company has the right to delete your user account and its data due to inactivity. The Company will delete all personal and other data in the Service at the end of the Service. You are responsible for backing up or saving data before the Service ends.
12. Privacy
Provision and production of the Service require the Seller to process personal data in accordance with the applicable privacy policy (www.hop-in.fi/tietoturvaseloste), which the Customer accepts. These Terms and the Privacy Policy together form the agreement regarding personal data processing.
The Seller stores all data provided by the Customer with comprehensive security measures. Data storage and processing are done through trusted service providers, with strictly limited access rights and only for the purpose for which the data was collected. All data is always handled confidentially.
The Seller commits to ensuring information security in a generally accepted, reliable manner and takes necessary measures to prevent unauthorized access to its information systems by third parties using appropriate technical solutions. However, the Seller does not guarantee complete security.
13. Force Majeure
Force majeure means an unforeseeable event that prevents or makes it unreasonably difficult for the Seller to fulfill contractual obligations on time. Such events include war, rebellion, natural disasters, general power outages, exceptionally widespread telecommunications failures, fire, strike, blockade, or other equally significant and unusual causes independent of the contracting parties. The Seller must promptly notify the Customer of force majeure and its effects as well as its end.
14. Other
Amendments to these Terms
The Company has the right to amend these Terms by notifying you in advance. Continuing to use the Service after the Terms come into effect is deemed acceptance of the updated Terms. Changes will be communicated to Hobby Account holders in the HOP IN service.
If any provision of these Terms is deemed illegal or invalid under applicable law, this shall not affect the validity of other provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that as far as possible realizes the original provision’s purpose and commercial intent.
Finnish law applies to these Terms. Disputes regarding the agreement and interpretation or enforcement of these Terms shall primarily be resolved through negotiation.
If the matter cannot be resolved by agreement, it shall be settled by the district court as the first instance. If you have any questions or comments regarding these Terms or the Service, please contact us by email at info@hop-in.fi. Avoid sending sensitive health or other confidential information by email.
